Pre-condition | The Robot has enough battery charge. Wireless connection is strong enough. PwD and Robot are currently outside walking. PwD shows signs of fatigue or expresses desire to return home. Current time of day is within set limits. Weather conditions are suitable for walking. Robot can triangulate its position via wifi connection. |
Post-condition | PWD and Robot are both back inside their place of living. PwD feels satisfied with the walking experience. Caretaker is notified that walk has ended. Robot is ready for next activity or charging. |
Action sequence | 1. The Robot recognizes signs that the PwD wants to end the walk (verbal cues) and responds positively to their decision. 2. The Robot uses its position tracking to guide the PwD back toward their home via the shortest route. 3. Upon reaching the entrance, the Robot waits for the PwD or Caretaker to open the door while showing calm, satisfied body language. 4. The Robot positions itself in a resting location, signaling that the walking activity has concluded successfully. 5. TheĀ Robot expresses the need to be charged. |
