Positive consequences

Which positive effects are expected from the AI-functions

- to the performance of the actors who work with the AI (e.g., accuracy, speed, ...)?

- to the state of them (e.g., stress, understanding, trust, ...)?

Performance:

Robot: The AI is able to give required actions much faster than if a human was not present -> increase in manpower.

Patient:

Caregiver: The caregiver can take of more tasks faster.

State:

Robot:

Patient: Improved mood.

Caregiver: Reduced stress and workload

Negative consequences

Do you foresee potential negative effects of the AI-functions:

- on the performance, state and/or values of the actors?

- on more general ethical or societal aspects?

What are they?

Negative effects on performance of actors:

1. Might scare the patient, potentially due to distrust or confusion.

2. Communication from something seemingly alien may be stressful to the patient.

3. There may be bugs in the technology, the hardware itself may break. Overreliance may lead to consequences in these cases.

Ethical/Societal aspects:

1. Monitoring an old person, potentially including their personal information, catered to characteristics, and image, is a privacy concern.

Impact on use-case

What is the impact of the AI functions on the overall use case?

What does it add to the use case/how does it improve the use case as a whole?

(Answering in here for now)

Impact on use case: Smoothens the process, more tailored to specific needs over time.

Improved: It learns how to adapt/react to patient needs.
