Function 1

Guardian supplies NAO with basic information.

  1. Programmer/Designer sets a list of questions for the Guardian to complete on behalf of the PwD
  2. Guardian receives the online survey
  3. Guardian enters the information in the online survey
  4. Information is stored in NAO's database

Function 2

NAO asks questions to Guardian and PwD.

  1. NAO has identified knowledge gaps in the database to ask about
  2. NAO poses these questions to the Guardian and PwD
  3. NAO waits for verbal response from either Guardian or PwD
  4. Guardian or PwD responds with the question
  5. NAO simultaneously stores information under the relevant question heading within the database
  6. NAO waits until there is a certain time of no verbal interaction from either Guardian or PwD
  7. NAO proceeds to next question on the list
  8. Guardian and PwD can set parameters and alarms, such as alerts for visiting relatives. (See Function 4)
