Pravesha Ramsundersingh Reflection
Personal Reflection
My reasoning behind selecting Socio-cognitive Engineering for this quarter was to gain an insight on how real-life situations combine with technology. For the past years during my bachelor phase, it was great receiving knowledge on more technical aspects. But I missed the connected with the real world. Therefore, when receiving the assignment of working with the available robots to cater to people with dementia, I was very excited as this allowed the perfect opportunity to do so.
Regarding the group, it was great combination of people with different skills, which allowed the process to become very smooth. Not only was it clear that each team member was ready to commit to the course properly, but they also all had the same level of interest and passion that I do! Each week, tasks were divided appropriately and we regularly met once or twice a week to check our general progress. It was also the perfect moment to reflect on the lectures and the content discussed, which could be used to optimise our own ideas.
