UC1.2: During The Walk

Objective Hopefully an enjoyable walk for the PwD, fresh air, movement, and light exercise.
TDPHuman RQ, Machine RQ, Grounding
Actors

1. PwD who is able to interact and walk with robot 

2. Humanoid robot (guidance and companion during walk) 

Pre-Condition

1. The PwD has agreed to go on the walk and is able to do so

2. Weather conditions allow for walk as well as hardware conditions (Ex. battery)

Post-Condition1. The PwD and robot have safely returned from the walk
Action Sequence

1. PwD choosing what route to take, for example go to the park or just out in the garden

2. Robot and PwD leaving the building together

3. Robot and PwD start the walk towards the goal.

    - Robot asking PwD casual social questions during the walk. (What did you do today? etc. type questions)

    - Redirecting PwD if they go off track (Ex. "I think we are supposed to go right here, Maria!")

    - Potentially asking "Do you know where to go right now?" (Make sure this isn't too often)

    - Potentially asking "How are your sugar levels?" if the PwD is diabetic, etc. 

    - Motivation prompts during the walk. 

    - If possible, monitoring traffic conditions with the help of sensors.

4. Arriving at the park/in the garden

5. Spending some time in the park/garden.

    - Robot remains close to PwD

    - Robot continues occasional social prompts

    - Robot asks if PwD wants to return/tells PwD it is time to return.

6. Journey back to care center/back inside. Similar process as before.

7. Make sure PwD arrives home safely.
