Alexandru - Self Reflection

Week 1:

This week, we got to know each other. We brainstormed ideas about the interactive agent to help people with dementia, starting with building personas and stakeholders, and generating various concepts such as a painting companion. We formulated a general use case, started the design of our storyboard and divided the first tasks among group members. In the end, we decided to focus on entertainment through the medium of painting, which has been shown to improve quality of life.

Ilinca and I worked on the Function section of Quick Start.

Week 2:

In this week, our team focused on scoping down the use cases of our interactive agent to assist PwD with painting and enhance interaction between PwD and their loved ones. We divided the work among the group members and worked on different sections of the project, such as the quick start, foundation, and specification.

I worked with Ilinca on the Foundation and Operational Demands sections. This week we also created the personas.

Week 3:

This week we focused on the Self Determination Theory. I was already familiar with this theory from the course I took last quarter, called Behavioral Change Support Systems. It was nice to see that I can build upon my existing knowledge and apply it in a practical way with the team.

This week we started thinking about the presentation and what still has to be done beforehand.
