| From these 4 topics we have extract our design:
| |||
| - From [[1. Music and Cognition>>Main.b\. Human Factors.Music and Cognition.WebHome]] , the robot would adapt to the PwD's preferences on voice or pure sound communication. Specifically, some daily reminders could be replaced with a familiar tune which the PwD associates with the reminder. This could perhaps reduce the confrontational element that comes with having the reminder functionality as the main function of the robot.
| |||
| - From [[2. Socio-Cognitive Engineering>>Main.b\. Human Factors.Inclusive Design.WebHome]] , we have information that also relates to our main benefit from the previous topic, mainly supporting the scheduling/calendar functionality for reminders that happen often. The sources that we looked at support our initial thought that this functionality could be of use for PwD and improving their quality of life.
| |||
| - From [[3. Human-Robot Collaboration>>Main.b\. Human Factors.Robotic Partner.WebHome]] , the main part of the theory that extract is that the robot is meant to be an augmentation, rather than a replacement. It is mean to support the caretakers,relatives and PwD themselves in their lives and interactions with one another, by allowing some of the responsibility or time that was needed for specific tasks to be placed on the robot.
| |||
| - From [[4. Evaluation Methods>>Main.b\. Human Factors.Measuring Instruments.WebHome]] , we extracted the importance of making the evaluation sessions that were conducted as close as possible in the given time to what we thought would be a similar session with a PwD, which is why during our evaluation we also introduced elements of impairment (visual, finger motion) |
