Upside | Calendars record what has happened and what will happen, helping PwDs organize their day and remember important events. |
Downside | PwDs may become overly reliant on technology to keep track of time, which could limit their ability to rely on their internal sense of time or other cues in their environment. This could potentially lead to a decrease in independence. |
Use Cases | UC01: Reminder |
Tests | Before using the robot, baseline performance is measured, which includes the number of appointments missed, the frequency of reminders needed, and the number of days with a clearly defined schedule. And same performance will be measured after using the calender function and compared with the baseline performance. The downside can be tested through observation. If PwDs constantly check the time on the device, even when it is not necessary or the person becomes anxious or disoriented when the device is not functioning correctly. |
