01.jpgMary (70), Person with Dementia

Mary is a member of many associations and clubs. She loved to organize and host events, and when she attended other people's events she often engaged in heated debates about books or current affairs. Yet ever since she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, she is no longer able to organize social events, nor can she engage in coherent discussions at social events. She feels as though people are avoiding her, and she gets frustrated with her new role as a passive participant.
02.jpgAnna (34), Activity Coordinator

Anna is an activity coordinator (AC) at a meeting center, where PwD meets and engage in daytime activities together. Anna enjoys her job and tries to provide the best possible care for the elderly, however, sometimes her performance is impeded by the number of tasks she has to do.
03.jpgPeter (74), Informal Caregiver

Peter is the caregiver and husband of Mary. It troubles him to see how the sickness has changed his wife and he worries about what will happen if he is no longer able to take care of her. He visits her daily but sometimes has struggles adapting to her changing behavior, especially when she gets frustrated since she used to be very independent. Especially because she was always so independent, taking care of her is also a bit hard for Peter, since he does not always know how and she does not always accept his help.
