Pre-condition

The Robot has enough battery charge.

Wireless connection is strong enough.

PwD and Robot are both outside and ready to walk.

Current time of day is within set limits.

Weather conditions are suitable for walking.

Robot can triangulate its position via wifi connection.

Post-condition

PwD and Robot have completed a walking session.

PwD remains engaged and feels accomplished.

Caretaker is notified of walking progress.

Action sequence

1. The Robot begins walking alongside the PwD, matching their pace.

2. The Robot uses audio cues to engage with the PwD upon request.

4. The Robot uses its position tracking to guide the PwD along a predetermined route while allowing them to feel they are leading the walk.

5. The Robot responds to the PwD's interests during the walk (e.g. if they stop to look at something, sit down, take a break, etc.).
