We chose an “activity companion” robot with a compact humanoid shape mounted on wheels. Its friendly, humanlike appearance helps build trust with patients, while its mobility allows it to move easily through hallways and shared spaces like game rooms without staff assistance. The robot’s main goal is to reduce loneliness among residents and give caregivers like John more time to focus on medical care and facility management.
