1 +This section will discuss the necessary technology for our intervention. The team has chosen to use the social robot Pepper as hardware because of its familiar humanoid shape and mannerisms, which can be beneficial for PwD. We describe both pros and limitations with this model and justify our choice. Furthermore, we specify the software that will be implemented in future iterations such as speech recognition, an intuitive user interface for Pepper's tablet, and a reliable, scalable database for events to name a few. The technology is discussed on a high level to stay within the scope of this course.
