Actors

The conversational agent assists the stakeholder in their thinking and reflecting values that think find important.

The stakeholders (academia, industry, the public, government) answer questions from the conversational agent that reveal their value preferences.

Pre-condition

The stakeholders are sitting behind the conversational agent and is filling out a consent form.

The conversational agent is read to start the interaction and is in front of the stakeholder.

Post-condition

After the condition, the stakeholder is aware of the values that are revealed through a set of questions from the interaction. This allows them to think about what values are important in their lives.

The interaction pauses for reflection.

Action sequence

  1. The conversational agent introduces itself to the user.
  2. It asks the user what they know about public safety.
  3. After the user responds, the conversational agent states that they are going to ask the user a couple of questions about themselves and public safety to understand what values the user finds important.
  4. The user receives a set of values (autonomy and security).
  5. The conversational agent indicates that the user finds autonomy and security important and asks if the user also sees themselves in that light.

The action ends.
