... ... @@ -1,8 +1,1 @@ 1 -The head of the care center Pieter wants a plan to give the caregivers more time and see what issue the residents has (physically and emotionally). He decides to have a meeting with the employees. They stated that they do not have enough time to do other work besides entertaining the residents. The residents have also shared their opinion that they would like to feel more independent. 2 - 3 -Daphne, one of the caregivers, is tired of taking Maria every day to the park. She want to do some administration work and help organizing activities in the care center. She has to work too slow because of Maria and thus it takes her too much time. She also has to be very careful, because Maria forgets the road.Bob would like to go the park every day, but he gets angry when the caregiver asks him to go back too soon. He would like to go on his own. 4 - 5 - 6 -When there are no collective activities, the caretakers are very busy with entertaining the residents. There 7 - 8 - 1 +Some residents, like Maria, also want to go for a walk more often than the caretakers already take her. For Bob, he never wants to go to the park on his own initiative. He needs some persuasion from the caretakers to go for a walk, but always wants to stay longer than the caretakers can. The caretakers are very busy with making sure all PwD get the exercise they need, partly by going for walks. This takes up a lot of their time. The head of the carecenter feels would be more valuable if the caretakers could spend this time on healthcare-related aspects, like checking medicines, physiotherapy, and nutrition, as well as administrative work. Most PwD also want more sense of independency. Being able to go outside without the need of a caretaker would help them with this. The family members of Bob and Maria feel like their physical freedom is limited due to the availability of the caretakers. Even though the PwD's family members love them, they need to spend too much time on the PwD to join them on walks and such. They want to have some time left for their own children.
