1 -The system interaction with the PwD will take place around a carecenter. This carecenter has 70 elderly living there, each with their own room. When two people are married, they share a room if they want to. There are multiple departments in the carecenter: one for people with dementia, one for people in need of much physical care, and another for the less-maintenance elderly. The carecenter has a big garden with paved paths, bushes, plants, and trees, which the elderly are allowed to walk through. Safety measures and monitoring are in place to prevent accidents and handle quickly in case something happens.

3 -Many elderly have befriended each other, but there are some, especially in the dementia department, that do not engage much with others. They engage with the caretakers to some extent but don't reach out themselves. Walking in the garden seems to brighten the mood of many elderly but they often lack the initiative themselves. The caretakers are very person-oriented. They take all residents' feelings very seriously and try to make them feel as independent as possible.

5 -The majority of each resident's day is spent in their department's living room. These rooms have a lounge area with comfortable couches and chairs, as well as tables around which people can sit. When there are no collective activities taking place, a TV is always on showing sports, and caretakers play games with groups of residents or take walks in the garden with residents that need some exercise. The latter is tracked by the caretakers, who make sure that every resident gets some sort of exercise, corresponding to their physical state. There are some simple games that residents can play just amongst each other, but the caretakers have to put quite some time into getting the residents to do the exercise that they need.
