20 20  While the above methods are extremely suitable for conducting the experiment with actual Dementia patients, for our proxy participants we use the PACES[8] scale which is a self reported questionnaire that tries to asses different aspects of enjoyment such as sense of accomplishment, engagement, stress reduction/improved mood. It encompasses all the aspects that we require to answer our research questions. It also aligns with the socio cognitive theories we have inculcated in our design; mainly the self determination theory. Studies have validated its usage and effectiveness in older adults as well as younger making it furthermore suitable for our use case.
