Activity: Engage in painting

Bart is new at the caring home. He feels disconnected from his old life and his relatives. The caregiver suggests that he starts painting again and helps him to set up materials and the robot. The robot has a conversation with Bart to help him get inspired and give him structure to start the painting process. 

First our PaintingPal asks what type of style Bart wants to paint in. It shows him different pictures of styles and gives information on how to apply those techniques. Then the PaintingPal asks if he wants to paint a picture that Bart’s daughter Sarah shared with him. It is a picture of his old garden. Bart gets inspired and motivated by the old memories flooding in. Maybe he can still keep a part of himself in this strange new environment. 

When he’s finished he proudly shows his painting to our PaintingPal who takes a picture and sends it to Sarah. The next she sees him she wants to see the painting and they have a nice conversation about the time she fell into the sprinklers in the garden.
