The Visual Analog Scale is a psychometric scale commonly utilized in mood scale surveys to assess the severity of mood experienced by patients. Additionally, it is utilized in surveys to gauge characteristics and attitudes across a range of continuous values. Similar to other linear scales like the Likert scale, it yields results that are sensitive to variations in performance.
It is especially useful for PwDs since they may have difficulty comprehending complex or abstract concepts, and the visualization of mood makes the questions easier to understand and answer.
