In particular that music activates the parts of the brain which are healthiest the longest 1 +This course in many ways reminds me to the courses that I used to take during the University of Applied Science where there was a good focus on theory which supplemented with an interesting real-world use case. So, in that way, this course was a nostalgic experience for me where I was reminded of an easier time. This course did have some difficulties for me personally however, especially personally. The experience of someone of someone with PwD closely mirror those of my grandfather (Parkison's) and mother (terminal brain tumour). This made some lectures hard to follow since the descriptions brought back uncomfortable personal memories of when my mother was institutionalized in a care centre for two months in the summer of last year.** **However this experience was vital for me to know what ideas would work, to learn that I can contribute to the wellbeing of people in similar situations and understand the science why those things took place. In this course I mainly learned about the medical aspects of cognition, elderly care and how to ensure the well-being of vulnerable stakeholders. The social aspects of engineering is often left out of computer science courses, despite this being a vital part of what students will do at the end of their academic career. Our world is social in nature where not everything is distributed equally, our methods as engineers should therefore align with those social values and protect those who are in need. The ways to do so are, I think, the most important lessons that I have learned in this course.
