TheĀ PwD and the Robot need effective communication in order to make use of the remind/recall functionality of the robot. In order to achieve this, the robot will pay attention all the time while it is with the PwD, ready to receive any feedback or make any changes according to the wishes of the PwD. These changes (if they are related to the behaviour of the robot or the nature of the reminders) will be looked at afterwards by the caretaker to make sure that the robot isn't simply being dismissed by the PwD for no reason.

On top of that, the robot should be able to communicate with the PwD in a dynamic way such as to not make them feel uncomfortable, so it will be able to produce some different responses to simple questions about itself.
