Week 1:

  • Missed the lecture sessions for week 1. 
  • Went through the lecture slides to get the basics of the course.
  • Familiarised with the XWiki environment.
  • Got the summary for the project idea from a group member and started looking into the concept.

Week 2:

  • The lecture session covered the impact of music, music intervention and cognition.
  • Summarised the lecture Music and Cognition.
  • Group discussion on problem statement and robot
  • Refined the use case and problem statement. Found Pepper to be the best fit for the use case.
  • Collaborated on Use Cases, Problem Scenario and Stakeholders

Week 3

  • Attended the lecture session covering Design Patterns and Ontology
  • Created the Ontology by referring to the literature along with Vishruty Mittal
  • Collaborated on storyboard which was later refined by a teammate in Design Patterns 
  • Worked on Personas in groups of two

Week 4

  • The lecture session covered evaluation methods
  • Collaborated on deciding the Functions, Claims
  • Decided on a rudimentary evaluation plan and finalised the topics to be presented by teammates on Week 5
  • Discussed the prototype design and updated some basics in Prototype
  • Got familiar with Interactive Robots platform and Choregraphe

Week 5

  • Teammates presented the intermediate status of the project
  • Revisited the Use Cases, Functions, Claims and Test based on the feedback of the presentation session
  • Looked into online tutorials and created a demo project on Choregraphe 

Week 6

  • Lecture session covered the principles of inclusivity in design
  • Discussed the possibility of addressing inclusivity in the project
  • Reconsidered the Test and Prototype based on experience with Choregraphe
  • Collaborated to design a flow diagram for dialogue in the final version
  • Worked on programming the prototypes over 2 lab sessions

Week 7

  • Finished the code for both the prototypes on Tuesday
  • Fixed some advanced dialogue flows and programming errors
  • Participated in a few evaluation sessions
  • Worked on the final presentation on Week 8
  • After evaluation sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, cleaned and prepared the data for evaluation with Simran Karnani and Vishruty Mittal
  • Evaluation included:
    • Performing reliability tests per section using Cronbach Alpha score
    • Self-Assessment Manikin (SAM) data converted to a numeric scale
    • Calculate mean and standard deviation for questions corresponding to each research question
    • Find statistical significance between each condition
    • Summarise the findings in form of charts and tables for the presentation

Week 8

  • Could not attend the presentation session because of Covid
  • Helped teammates refine the slides for the final presentation
  • Based on the  feedback of the presentation, made some final changes to XWiki such as:
