In her profession, she had the opportunity to talk with numerous people every day and attend various social gatherings. On getting diagnosed with dementia, Gretchen was crushed. With the passage of time, her situation deteriorated and now she lives in a care center. As she used to go out every day and for a major period of her life, staying indoors is difficult for her. She becomes frustrated and often tries to leave her room in order to go outdoors. 2 2 3 3 4 -Robert (65) lives in Delft with his son, daughter-in-law, and a grandkid (7).He loves to interact and spend time with his grandkid, for example play at the playground in their neighbourhood. Last summer he got diagnosed with early staged dementia. Since the dementia is in early stage he is still capable to perform most of his daily tasks like cooking, doing laundry and getting dressed. But sometimes he gets unaware of his surroundings and tries to leave the house. Therefore there is a need for constant guidance to prevent him from going out and getting hurt or lost.As both of his children are working and the grandkid goes to school, there is no one at home to take care of himduring datetime.Hencehis family decided toenrolhim in a day care centre. She likes her job and tries to do her best in taking care of the elderly people in the center. She is very joyous, humble, and patient. Some of her days are easy when many nearby local volunteers turn up to help, but, on her other days, she is swamped with work as the center is understaffed.
