Direct stakeholders
The target group is defined as follows:
- People with dementia (PwD)
- Living at home (alone or with others)
- In early stages of dementia (problem-solving issues, minor memory losses, planning problems).
The other direct stakeholder is the healthcare professional (HCP):
- Visiting the patients at home at least once a week
- Checking regularly on the patients (no need to do active surveillance, just to remain available in case a problem occurs)
- Doing activities with the patient
- Filling in medicine planning for the patient, and/or activity breakdown (parameterizable, based on what is required for the patient)
Indirect stakeholders
Close family of the patient:
- Living with the patient or visiting regularly
- Pepper takes on her part of the tasks to relieve them
Value stories
As a PwD, I want to (not all of them are applicable to all patients):
- be able to stay independent, autonomous, and manage my own life
- be reminded of the medicine I have to take
- get help to do activities I have problem with
- get help from the robot if I have panic attack (like sunset syndrome)
- get emotional support when I feel alone.
As a HCP, I want to:
- have social interaction with my patients
- be informed when the health of the patient deteriorates or when they have an urgent problem
- enter in the robot the planning of the week for the patient (if the patient needs it)
- enter the breakdown of activities in the robot so that the patient can do them step by step and remains independent (although helped by the robot).
As a person living with a PwD, or a relative/friend visiting them, I want to:
- have some time for myself without needing to always assist the PwD
- see my relative with PwD be happy in their life
- know that the person is safe even if I am not home with them.
