8.2 | 3 | In this project, we design a music-playing robot to help people with dementia. It is an experimental music treatment, which aims to delay the process of dementia. We believe our intelligent robot is a useful method for the patients, through which it could play music to remind patients and help patients do exercises and play games with the pre-installed motion. Our robot mainly focuses on two scenarios, put at home or taken with the patient to the care home. We define the foundation, specification and finally do the evaluation part of our robot design. |

9.1 | 6 | In this part, we define and explain the foundation of our robot including operational demands, human factors and technology. We discuss the environment features, stakeholders, target users and several possible problem scenarios. Moreover, we discuss which robot we select and the reason, we also draw the design patterns in this part, and explain why music could help with the delay of dementia. |
