Week 1:
Unfortunately, I missed the lectures and the group meeting due to catching COVID and having to stay at home all week. Fortunately, I knew Ricardo already so he secured a spot for me on his group. Once the slides were posted online, I went through them to prepare for the next week.
Week 2:
During the lab I mainly partook in discussing the idea, as I had missed the first week's meeting where the group came up with the idea. I got to voice some of my ideas and got a good grip of where we wanted to go. I did some research into the possibility of using voice commands with MiRo by looking into Python packages.
Week 3:
In this week I worked on the Objectives and Humanoid robot page. I could not yet try out the Python packages I found for voice recognition because we had not yet gotten the MDK working. I also made some user value stories at the Stakeholders page.
Week 4:
I worked with Ricardo on specifying the design patterns further than he had already done. Next to that, I extended and rewrote Functions and found some parts to discuss with the group about.
Week 5:
This week I felt like I had lost overview of what our product vision was, as we had changed quite a bit over the past few weeks. I therefore went through all of the XWiki pages to check for consistency, after which I created a to-do list for everything that was still missing or had to be changed. I also gave some feedback on the evaluation form Rohan and Doreen had made.
Week 6:
This week I worked on the evaluation form together with Rohan, incorporating the feedback I gave in week 5. Next to that, I worked on some of my assigned to-do's. Also, we did our first preliminary prototype evaluation with a hard of hearing person. This gave us some nice insights that we will use to avoid setup problems and delays in our actual prototype evaluation in week 7.
Week 7:
This week was the big week of our prototype evaluation. During the lecture/working session on tuesday I went over the final evaluation plan with the group and worked on some individual todo's, refactoring a bunch of pages. On Wednesday, we spent the entire morning doing the user test. Unfortunately, due to a big deadline for another course I couldn't join a couple of people from the group in creating graphs based on our questionnaire answers on Friday. However, I made up for this by meeting with Harmen and Ricardo on Sunday morning to work on the evaluation presentation of week 8. We interpreted the result graphs and drew conclusions based on the results, and formed our presentation with this.
Week 8:
The week started with the first batch of presentations, it was interesting to see how other groups did their experiments. On Tuesday morning, me, Harmen, Doreen and Ricardo met to finalise our presentation and to practice, after which we presented it. Next to the presentation, the group met in two different sessions to make a big todo list for finalising our XWiki. I took some tasks and worked on them separately.
Week 9:
I finished my assigned Todo's and sat together with the entire group on Tuesday morning to go through the entire XWiki to ensure consistency and check if we didn't miss anything. After that, we handed it in!
