5 5  Although MiRo was the most desirable choice of the available robots, it is not perfect for our use case. It had many limitations, which we described in section [[Humanoid Robot>>https://xwiki.ewi.tudelft.nl/xwiki/wiki/sce2022group02/view/Foundation/Technology/Humanoid%20Robot/]]. To give an idea of alternative robots that could (partly) achieve our goals, the next section contains an overview of similar, dog-like robots.

8 8  An example of a robot that could handle rough terrain is the Boston Dynamics Robot [[Spot>>https://www.bostondynamics.com/products/spot]]. Its legs and sophisticated stability functions allow it to traverse difficult terrains, such as slopes and height differences. However, this robot is extremely expensive and therefore not feasible to use for our use objectives.

10 10  Another, different example of a dog-like robot, is the [[Sony Aibo>>https://electronics.sony.com/more/aibo/p/ers1000]]. AIBO is a doglike robot that acts like a dog [[(Fujita M., 2001)>>https://journals-sagepub-com/doi/abs/10.1177/02783640122068092]]. This dog acts like a real dog, one needs to teach him commands and he will grow up like a regular dog. When the dog is petted, it will respond like a real dog. Features of this dog that are relevant are that it is able to listen to a name and that it will respond like a real dog. Unfortunately, this dog is not able to walk for a long time and is very slow when walking.
