Week 1

The introduction lecture was fairly informative. The only thing was that the project is really open in a way. It would have been nice to be able to see some examples (possibly from previous years projects for different topics) what they had added to xwiki.

Starting on working on the project and reading the documentation on SCE, it's been interesting to see how agile is used in this context, and the difference in the framework surrounding it. It's been a while since I worked explicitly with use cases, etc., so this has been good revision of the ontologies.

Week 2

We worked on refining the ideas, and after asking if it was fine to do it for a home environment, we got a pretty good idea of what we wanted to do: a wellness questionare to help PwDs remember to eat and drink without annoying them. I wrote some personas, environments and problem/design scenarios.

Week 3

For this week I worked on the use cases/objective/functions. Our use cases were fairly clear, so formalizing them wasn't too hard. However, during the presentation it was mentioned that our functions/requirements are quite right, so I'll have to take a new look at them.

Week 4

This week overall we worked on a lot of finetuning so to say. The demo with the robot, evaluation event, the previously mentioned functions/requirements and so on. I'm still not sure if I have the functions as they should be, but hopefully they are atleast closer.

Week 5

On monday we had our first presentation. I'll present in the final presentation, but I helped answering the questions at the end. On tuesday we began finalizing the evaluation, and Litian and I worked specifically on getting the prototype itself working. We did some edits to the conversations paths, and made sure all the sentences made sence for the general evaluation, like not using the name of the persona, making sure the answers made sense for as many possible replies and times as possible, etc.

Week 6

This week we started doing the evaluations. Scheduling was a task in itself, but I think we got it working quite well. Especially luckily we got everything sorted out to work at the end of this week and start of next, so we don't need to fight over lab sessions, as many others seem to be doing them at the end of next week. During the presentations Litian and I set up the robot and ran the correct versions for the participants. We also operated the Wizard of Oz control method. Funnily, most of the people didn't realize we were doing that (we were doing it on the side), so we explained to people at the end that our prototypes speech/semantic recognition is not quite so good.

Week 7

This week we continued doing evaluations on monday and tuesday. We spent most of monday in the lab, but now we are luckily done and have ample time to do the analysis of the evaluation.

Later this week I did the quantitative result analysis with Veikko, and Sophia, Veikko and I prepared the final presentation

Week 8

Sophia, Veikko and I held the final presentation. After this we split the remaining tasks to complete the report. I did some revamping of the claims page and finished up the evaluation section. Everyone did overall proofreading and improvements here and there.
